Instead, the exposure time is 1/9s for Windows data whilefor the Exif data the exposure time is auto exposure. The meteringmode in Exif data is Matrix metering but for the Windows generateddata is centre weighted average. Apartfrom the similar differences as in the other pictures above, it canbe seen that the Exif images have more elaborate details. Forinstance, when time is represented in hour, minutes and seconds whenthe image was taken in Exif data, the Windows details only give thetime in terms of hours and minutes[ CITATION Mio05 l 1033 ].Another main difference between the pictures that was noted duringthe analysis was the GPS data given. This reveals the exact positionfrom where the camera was taken, time of the shoot and the ID numberof the device used in taking the measurements[ CITATION Bak13 l 1033 ].

Useof Exif data to Investigate Child Pornography

Mostof the investigated child pornography is related to digital images.The forensic skills are critical in investigating such issues[ CITATION Kho12 l 1033 ].For instance, Exif data for an image specifies the format of theimage that was taken using a digital camera and provides a broadspectrum as to the time and exact data the photos were taken. Bydefault, the Exif data will give the exact location, time and IDnumber of device used hence easy to track any instances of childpornography[ CITATION Sha07 l 1033 ].
