For instance, according to Robert de Sorbon’sregulations for his college, no one should eat in either the house ofadvert on Monday and Tuesday of Lent or Ascension Day to Pentecost.Sorbon argues that the school should continue to maintain the customthat was instituted by the counsel of good men. On this particularday, students should not pay for their meals taken in the rooms. Thisrules also goes ahead to give more details about places that one cantake his or her meals. Secondly, both Chinese and European schoolhave rules and regulation concerning eating habits. For example, theChinese rule states that one should not eat to fill him or herself.In addition, they should not eat fancy foods and should only eat atregular hours. Further, a Chinese student should not drink unless itis on a holiday, or it is an order from the elders. In case theydrink, it should be more than three cups. On the other hand, Europeanrules state that one should not speak loudly when eating. Anyone whoviolates this rule is given a house penalty that is equivalent to twoquarts of wine. Conversely,Chinese schools and European school also have some differing rules.In Chinese, people bow to each as a form of greetings. In the morningand evening, two teachers fold their hands together and bow to eachother. Correspondingly, the students also repeat the same processamongst themselves. Further, Chinese have rules that govern theirdaily behaviours. While in the group, they should sit according totheir ages. No one is allowed to lean to one side, dangle the feet orsquat. The rulesalso state that one should walk slowly, and when standing, theyshould fold the hands in front. On the contrary, the European schooldo not have such rules.

Inthese two communities, education and educated people play asignificant role in the society. Education is highly valued, andeducated people highly respected. Education is the key to success,and it plays an important role in economic development, socialdevelopment, and science progress by bringing out advanced expertsand talents in the socialist modernization. Education prepares alearner to adopt new skills, as well as values that are essential inthe day-to-day activities. According to educationists, having aneducation is equivalent to having knowledge, power, respect, andhappiness.
